I can't believe I haven't had a chance yet to thank you for setting up such a
wonderful trip for us. We just had the best time...it was a magical place and a
magical trip.
When we checked into the airport in Ft Lauderdale to Boston I still hadn't told my husband where he was going-he looked a little disappointed but due to the clothes I had told him to pack he was pretty sure that Boston was not our final destination. I told him just before getting on the plane to Boston so we had a great trip looking at the books I had bought for him -he kept saying "Iceland...I can't believe we're going to Iceland". When we got to Boston we went to Legal Seafoods for a beer and some oysters waiting before we could check into the Icelandair flight. He was so excited he called our boys to tell them where we were headed and that we were starting off the trip by having some oysters in Legal Seafoods. This was perfect-about 10 minutes later we are sitting in our booth and we hear "You guys wouldn't be going to Iceland would you?" There stood the boys back packs on and all smiles. Honestly Rick looked at them like he didn't know who they were. He just couldn't believe it. That was the best. However I have to tell you all four of us fell in love with Iceland and its people-the Hotel was perfect-they were so friendly-place was spotless-huge breakfasts and right downtown. On all of our tours we saw some of the other hotels and we all kept saying that we were so happy not to be outside of the downtown. We got so lucky the first day with our driver from the Wilderness tours-his name is Omar by the way---he made the whole day so interesting and even added on a "quick" trip to see the Puffins because he saw we didn't have that booked. We had such a great day with him we requested him for the next day and they switched it out for us. The way you have clients picked up and taken to the Blue Lagoon on the way to the airport is brilliant-we had time to have all the soaking we could stand plus one more meal of Arctic Char. We found the food in Iceland to be top notch and I can honestly say we never had a bad meal. The tourism Board may want to hire all four of the Howards because we just loved it!
