Explore the area know as the
Golden Circle including
Thingvellir National Park rift
valley, Gullfoss waterfall and
Geysir hot spring area.
Experience the jeep's power
while driving off-road on a
mountain track and across the
rugged landscape. Next the
action is kicked into high
gear, get even closer to
Iceland's nature and go for a
snowmobiling tour on
Langjökull, Iceland's second
largest glacier (dependent on
weather and snow conditions).
After an action-packed day,
several photo stops are made
in the countryside en route
back to Reykjavik. Minimum: 2 passengers |
The most beautiful sights of
West Iceland are featured in
this popular day tour. Drive
through Hvalfjörður fjord to
the Borgarfjörður district
where Deildartunguhver,
Europe's most powerful hot
spring is located. Further
inland, Hraunfossar and
Barnafossar waterfalls are
visited and on through the
Húsafell woodlands. At
Húsafell, travel is taken
off-road on the highland trail
to Iceland's second largest
ice field, Langjökull glacier.
On the glacier you'll have the
opportunity to go for an
hour-long guided snowmobiling
tour. On the way back to
Reykjavik we drive through the
Kaldidalur valley, Iceland's
highest mountain track on to
Þingvellir National Park which
is known for it's exceptional
beauty and historical
importance.
Minimum: 2 passengers |
The volcanic Reykjanes
peninsula is a mystique area,
just southwest of Reykjavik.
Travellers can let the
imagination flow free when
driving through the vast lava
fields with its strange
shadows and rock formations.
In geological terms the
peninsula is quite young and
signs of volcanic activity
such as lava craters, black
lava fields with special
vegetation of moss and lichen
and impressive volcanoes are
to be seen in many places on
the peninsula.
One of the tour highlights is
a drive on the beaches of the
geothermal wonder, Lake
Kleifarvatn. Following the big
earthquakes in the year 2000
the water level of the lake
decreased by five meters but
is now slowly reaching its
normal level again. We will
also visit Krísuvík which is
situated close to the southern
end of the lake and has
innumerable small hot springs,
mud pots, boiling pools and
other types of geothermal
activity.

Departure from Reykjavík, the
4x4 Super Jeep takes you on a
twilight tour chasing the
Aurora Borealis - Midnight Sun
in the summer. We take you on
a mystery-filled tour by super
truck; a tour spiced with
excitement and surprises, away
from the city lights and into
the barren landscape in the
outskirts of Reykjavík in
search of the elusive Northern
Lights. On a clear night and
with a little luck we can see
the lights swirl around in
dramatic shapes across the
night sky - truly an amazing
sight.
Further towards the south
shore we go to a small seaside
village and visit a cozy
restaurant, with a warm and
friendly atmosphere. We will
enjoy their specialty lobster
which is served on a whole
platter, cooked in butter and
garlic and accompanied by a
specially made sauce and
bread.
*Drinks not included.
Operation: October - March
/ Northern Lights
Operation: April -
September / Midnight Sun
Minimum: 4 passengers |
From Reykjavik we head for the
lava fields for a visit to a
lava tube cave. After we enter
the cave we can see incredible
rock formations in various
colors, shapes and sizes. In
some places the floor is quite
even although the tour can be
rather difficult. Everyone is
geared up with helmets and
headlamps before entering the
cave, but we recommend wearing
hiking boots suitable for
walking on the rough surface
of the lava tube cave.
Minimum: 4 passengers |
We offer a unique and
unforgettable super jeep
excursion to this striking
"jewel of the interior".
Landmannalaugar is the pearl
of Iceland's central
highlands, situated in a
valley between colourful,
steep mountains at the high
and dark edge of the
Laugahraun lava field. The
route passes through
Þjórsárdalur valley and
crosses lava fields of
different eras, small rivers
and volcanic craters, which
make up an peculiar lunar-type
landscape. Landmannalaugar is
surrounded by colourful
mountains due to centuries of
volcanic activity in the area
and is indescribably
beautiful; you just have to
see for yourself. The
mountains are split with
gullies and gorges that are
ideal for hiking.
At Landmannalaugar you can
have an outside bath in a
natural warm pool where many
hot and cold springs have
mixed together. On our way
back to Reykjavík we drive
along the roots of Mt. Hekla,
Iceland's most active volcano.
Hekla is the queen of
mountains on the island and
has erupted on average every
10 years in the 20th century,
the last one in the year 2000.
The frequent eruptions have
created dramatic scenery with
thick layers of ash and lava
in the surrounding area.

We start by driving in our
modified super trucks along
the south shore, heading for
one of the places that
Icelanders appreciate most,
Þórsmörk (The Woods of Thor).
On the way we make a stop at
Seljalandsfoss waterfall to
walk behind the waterfall and
at a small glacial lagoon.
Many glacial rivers have to be
crossed on the way to Þórsmörk
which is situated in a valley
the south of Iceland
surrounded by three glaciers
and mountains which create
favorable circumstances for
growth for the over 170 plant
species you can find in the
area. Many walking paths are
marked in Þórsmörk, making it
an ideal place for short hikes
with views of glaciers,
woodlands and other colorful
landscape. Minimum: 2

South Iceland is a lowland
region of lush farmland,
glaciers, sandy coastlines and
striking waterfalls. This is
also an area of historical
significance as the saga of
Njall occurred in this area.
You will be taken through
areas where significant
historical events took place
changing Iceland's history
forever. Snowmobiling will
take place on the glacier
Mýrdalsjökull. A visit to the
plummeting waterfall,
Seljalandsfoss and the bird
cliffs that surround the small
town of Vik is planned before
a final stop for souvenirs at
Hveragerði village, known for
its greenhouses.

This is a truly magnificent
day devoted to the wonders of
Iceland's south shore,
including the awesome glacial
lagoon, Jökulsárlón. Travel by
jeep following the picturesque
southern coastline passing the
villages of Selfoss, Vik and
Kirkjubæjarklaustur as well as
the stunning waterfall at
Skógafoss and Skaftafell
National Park.
Continue through the vast
desert of Skeiðarársandur, an
area which can be prone to
sand storms. Many of Iceland's
biggest glacial rivers run
into the Atlantic Ocean on the
south shore. Each year they
carry millions of tons of
black volcanic sand,
constantly altering the shape
of the coastline and creating
vast black deserts. Just
before reaching the lagoon,
pass Öræfajökull glacier, home
to the island's highest peak,
Hvannadalshnjúkur (2119 m).
Jökulsárlón is a stunning
glacial lagoon that is
constantly forming as the
massive tongue of the glacier
retreats. Icebergs of all
shapes, sizes and in many hues
of blue, turquoise and white,
break off from the glacier.
Enjoy time at the lagoon
during the cruise aboard an
amphibious vessel amidst these
wonderful ice sculptures. Minimum:

Icelandic Wonders is a museum
encompassing approximately
1200 square metres dedicated
to elves, trolls and the
Northern Lights. The museum is
situated in Stokkseyri, which
is about 70 km from Reykjavík
(approximately an hour's
drive). It is on the ground
floor of the Culture Centre (Menningarhús)
and next door to the popular
lobster restaurant Við
Fjöruborðið. The Ghost Centre
is located on the top floor of
the Culture Centre.
It is safe to say that this
unusual museum cannot be
compared to anything else in
Iceland. Museum guests walk
into a world of the 'hidden
people' and through a large
troll cave. However, many will
probably find the highlight of
the trip is the 200 square
metre space maintained below
zero (-5° C to -10° C)
showcasing a true winter
wonderland with chunks of ice
from Vatnajökull glacier, ice
walls and an ice bar as well
as an amazing display about
the Northern Lights in all
their glory.
After visiting the museums,
enjoy lobster dinner in
Stokkseyri before return to
Reykjavik. Drinks not
included.
Minimum: 2 passengers |
On this half-day excursion you
will travel up Mt. Úlfarsfell
a spectacular 395 meter high
mountain with the most
incredible view over Reykjavík
and the surrounding area’s. We
visit Nesjavellir via Hengill,
a high-temperature geothermal
area which supplies about 25%
of the hot water needed to
provide central heating to
Reykjavík. We will continue
through Grafningur passing the
hydro powered station,
Ljósafoss and to the
greenhouse community
Hveragerði before returning to
Reykjavík via Hellisheiði.
