Day 1: Drive on from your itinerary to Stykkisholmur, the main town in the region, where you will spend two nights. In the afternoon, you will join a boat tour - whale watching in season - to see the delightful coastline and its rich bird life. Day 2: A full day to enjoy and explore the sheltered fjords and dramatic coastlines of the peninsula. Visit Snaefellsjokull, an active volcano, and Jules Verne's starting point for his "Journey to the Centre of the Earth", and head down to the sea to visit historical fishing villages. Day 3: Today you will rejoin your fly/drive itinerary, and continue around Iceland.
