is cozy and genuinely Icelandic. The Guesthouse is

Guesthouse, and he will take you to the door.
Located
in downtown Reykjavik, the Salvation Army
Guesthouse is known for its charm and
hospitality. The traveler can choose between
single, double and triple rooms, and
sleeping bag accommodation. In 2001 the
guesthouse won the Let's Go! recommendation
for low prices, good standard, nice staff
and "fantastic" location.
We
can accommodate about 90 guests at a time,
in single rooms, double rooms, triple rooms
and sleeping bag accommodation for the low
budget traveler. Toilets and showers are on
every floor. Breakfast is served from 7:00
each morning, and there is a kitchen
available for the guests where they can make
and store their own food their food.
During
the winter some of the rooms are hired by
young people who are studying in Iceland and
for others that need accommodation for a
longer period. But there are always rooms
available, and travelers live side by side
with Icelanders.
