Hotel Edda West Iceland
The Hotel Edda chain, which holds a very strong position
in Iceland, has a total of 15 hotels around the country
and are only open during the summer. Most of them are
run in the student quarters of schools, as well as the
student lodging area of a grammar school with rooms
ranging from 20 – 204 of differing quality. The
star-rating is from 2 (hotel Edda) to 3 stars (hotel
Edda PLUS).

Hotel facilities include restaurant &
bar, meeting facilities, campsite, open-air

situated in a grassy valley surrounded by
low mountains, in the Dalir district north
of the Snæfellsnes peninsula.
The
hotel is open from June 1 to September 2.

Opened in 2001,
the hotel has a lift, and wheelchair
access to restaurant, WCs and guest rooms.
facilities include bar/lounge and restaurant.
All 20 rooms are double with TV,
radio, alarm, telephone, hairdryer and
private bath.
Across the road from the hotel are conference
facilities, indoor swimming pool, horse hire
& golf nearby.
The
hotel is open May 12 to September 18. |
