Jon Rafn Hognason and Hansina B. Einarsdottir are the people behind Hotel Glymur and have run the Hotel since 2001. They live at the hotel so you can rest assured that they are always there to make sure that your stay is a constant pleasure. All the staff at Hotel Glymur are trained as hosts and they will do their best to be of assistance to you. The spectacular panorama view of Hvalfjordur stretches out in front of the hotel. 

Uniquely situated high on a mountainside, Hotel Glymur is only 45 minutes drive from the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik.

The hotel has 22 en-suite rooms that where completely re-designed in beginning of 2006. All rooms are on two floors with bathroom and sitting room on the first floor and the sleeping area on the upper floor. All rooms have high speed wireless internet access, flat screen TV, telephone and a coffee machine. The restaurant at Hotel Glymur is very popular and open all year. Creativity and fresh ingredients are the key words for our very talented chefs.

On the second floor of the hotel is a good library where there's something for everyone who likes a good read. The library is also great for smaller meetings and working sessions. Mountainside hot tubs with geothermal heated water are located just outside the hotel. The spacious main conference room has seating for up to 60 people and is well equipped with wire-less internet connection,  projector, computer, screen, TV, flip chart, copy machine etc. We also offer small workshop areas all over the hotel.
