This tour includes historic sites from the Viking Age, the Inland Ice Cap, fertile mountains with sheep farms, deep blue fiords with multi-coloured icebergs, calving glaciers - and everything within short range from your hotel. Narsarsuaq is the area which Eric the Red found to be the best place to settle and where he found inspiration to name the new land: Greenland.

Hotel Narsarsuaq used on this tour is the biggest and most preferable in South Greenland. It is a modern tourist class hotel offering a good restaurant with panoramic view over the nearby fiord, cafeteria, bar & souvenir shop.

Day 1: Transfer from Keflavik airport to the Reykjavik domestic airport for the onward flight to Narsarsuaq in South Greenland. Check-in for three nights at Hotel Narsarsuaq and join our destination guide for an information meeting about the area.

Day 2-3: Two full days in Narsarsuaq allow plenty of time for optional excursions, including Eric the Red's Viking ruins, Village of Igaliku, Qooroq Ice Fjord and several hikes and helicopter tours. You may also explore on your own, head out for a hike or simply wander through the town.

Day 4: Morning at leisure, transfers to the airport and return to Reykjavik in the early evening. Check in to your accommodation in Reykjavik for two nights.

Day 5: A full day tour to the famous Golden Circle, a trio of natural wonders! The geothermal area Geysir, is where you can see one or more geysers spout steaming water into the sky and view other bubbling and hissing hot springs. Nearby is the waterfall Gullfoss, considered by many visitors and Icelanders to be the island's most beautiful falls! The historic Thingvellir National Park is site of the ancient parliament.

Day 6: Today's transfer to Keflavik Airport will include at stop at the Blue Lagoon. Enjoy a soak in the geothermal mineral waters and go home feeling relaxed and revitalized.
